When you buy a spa you will be building a relationship with a company for many years to come. Service after the sale should be the most important part of your decision. From the very first day you will rely on the services of the company you choose.
BUYER BEWARE! Did you know most spa dealers are not licensed contractors and cannot legally install what they sell? No contractors license is required to sell you a spa, but one is required if installation or service work is needed. Most spas require a 220v electrical hookup as part of the deal. Unlicensed companies cannot legally provide this type of work for you. They cannot even charge you for the service and subcontract it to a licensed company as a part of their sales agreement. If you hire them and have problems you will have little recourse with the Registrar of Contractors should something go wrong. http://www.rc.state.az.us/Invest/invweb.html
Most spa dealers have a practice of providing you with a list of recommended installers. This practice makes you the contractor. If you become the contractor you will be responsible for the outcome of the job. If they do offer installation as part of their sales agreement, insist on obtaining their license number on that document. Call the Registrar of Contractors and make sure it is valid and without complaints pending. http://www.rc.state.az.us/
